STATIC CATALOG GENERATOR FOR CREATING STATIC MIRROR PAGES OF MIVA MERCHANT CATEGORIES AND PRODUCTS

The static catalog generator, also known as statcat, creates a static mirror of your dynamic Miva Merchant category and product database. It offers you the choice of a category-based mirror, a strictly product-based mirror with no categories, or both that link to each other.

Some awesome features of statcat are:

  • Meta Rating Tag
  • Meta Language Tag
  • Swap title in merchant.mvc (PROD and CTGY screens) - excellent if you don't have the OpenUI Look & Feel Module.
  • Add Meta Tags to merchant.mvc - awesome if you don't have the OpenUI or the Meta Tag Generator by Copernicus.
  • Ability to Return to Static Catalog or Store Basket Screen When Adding to Basket.
  • Ability to Display or Hide Product Prices.
  • Ability to format Category and Product column table code and text.
  • Ability to make local copies with no absolute links (http://).
  • Ability to add affiliate code to links.
  • Ability to limit category creation to individual category codes.

Areas for Improvement:

  • Ability to set directory location default. Currently, a change to the location of the directory is required if you want it different every single time you create the directory.  This is a big hassle.
  • Module has no partner program and modification is not allowed for non-compiled (*.mv) or compiled (*.mvc) Miva Merchant.
